That's a cool idea. I know it can be really explosive, but at the right intermix rate it just might create enough heat to be useful. Curious. Now I have to wonder if those cold weather crush packs that break a seal inside to release something isn't exactly that. I recall a similar pack that had fluid in it and a weird little metal disc inside. When you snapped the disk, it would release something into the fluid and it would get hot as a wave of salty looking material seemed to form out of nowhere from the disk to fill the entire bag. You could microwave the thing later and all the salty stuff would go away leaving a clear liquid and the disk again so you could reuse it. I wonder what I did with that darn thing?
